Mold..

I figured i would update this on all the unforunate events that have gone on the past couple weeks. Of course they happen to us, they always do! ha, but atleast we can laugh about them later, right? :)

Well not last weekend but the weekend before i walked into the bathroom and there was water almost up to my ankles! I yelled for Thayn and he came in and was just as confused as i was. So we checked everywhere for a leak of some sort thinking that it was coming from our appartment somewhere but when we realized it wasnt from us we called maitenance and it took them literally 6 hours to get here talk about frustrating!! Every towel we own was on the floor soaking up water.

So they finally come and get the water out of the carpet and steam clean it. They told us that the walls were wet because the water was coming from the man on the 3rd floor because he left his toilet running, or something like that.So the next thing i know the one maitanance man brings in the biggest fans i have ever seen in my life and a thing he called a " de humidifier" and stuck it all in the hallway . Now they are done, and they leave.. and we go to bed. Well these fans are freaking loud, and i mean so loud that i couldnt hear thayn snoring! It was ridiculous! When Maggie ( our cat) would walk by them they blew her face hairs back and it was the funniest thing ever but it scared her so she would sit on top of the fans and cry, and cry. so one night thayn decided we are turning these fans off and maggie didnt get the memo she thought they would still blow her face so she cried and cried and Thayn gets up to grab her and trips over the fans that are in the hallway. I couldnt help but laugh because he told me " dont trip on those fans" haha

Every day that week a man came to check the walls to see if they were drying and every day there was no progress.. a week passes and walls still not dry. So the man ( i dont know his name) says to me he needs to build a door entering into the hallway to block all the heat in to make it dry faster. Im thinking ok thats cool whatever well, he brings in this HUGE roll of plastic and starts taping it to my walls. It looked like a haunted house in my house.. No joke!

The plastic must have worked because a couple days later it was dry and the man got to take his fans and " de humidifier" and never come back again! yay. hahah. I think all our problems are gone and im super happy and i sorta did a little giggle when i shut the door thinking i would never see his face again..

I celebrated wayy to soon. Two nights ago i started getting a really bad sore throat and itchy eyes and coughing i knew what it was it was my allergic reaction to something.. and my only guess would be mold from the wet walls. So i called housing and they are gunna come check it out later and see if that is what it is. I really really hope it is so we can move.. so im crossing my fingers! :) It has been on heck of a couple of weeks at our house.. but on a good note i am now almost 11 weeks and we get to hear the heartbear next wednesday ! I am really looking forward to that! Its going to be the sweetest sound. I cant believe that it has been 5 weeks since i took a pregnancy test and it showed up positive.


So i will keep those who read this updated on the mold and Little baby baer :)
