Bliss*

I must say, I am pretty proud of myself right now. I am blogging ;)

Oh, Christas was a fabulous day! I for sure thought that Marcus would be the first to wake that day but it was Thayn! He is such a kid sometimes, and i love it. He woke me up and then not much longer everyone slowly decided to wake up. Once everyone was upstairs i let Marcus go see what santa had brought him. He was so excited! It was the cutest thing ever. I know he is still young but he knows what a toy is that is for sure. He got a little dino ball popper thing.. haha, i dont know what its called but you stick the different colored balls down the tail, it goes into its tummy and out the mouth of the dino and he pretty much thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen. I love my little munchkin. He also got so many other cool things. Like some puma socks from Gma Tracey, a frickin amazing onesie that has yoda on it from Gma kym, a peewee pillow pet from Gma Vickster, a little learning catterpillar from Gma and Gpa Edwards, super stinking cute clothes from his auntie kendyl, some clothes and boston red scocks sippy cups from Gma Dev and Gma Holly, and the cutest little walker thing from auntie cait and unlce alex ( he seriously loves that thing) I would have to say my little monkey got pretty spoiled :)

Thayn got new headlights for his car and all the parts to put the gun together he is building . His new call of duty, modern warfare, WHATEVER game it is haha, and some movies and star wars stocking stuffers!

I got a new camera and it is shaweeet! I got some super cute boots and outfit too. And an hour long full body massage, oh yeaaa! and lots of other cool stuff!

This has been the best christmas. I got to spend it here with my Family. I had my hubby and my sweet baby boy. I couldnt have asked for a better gift then that. I hope everyone had a great christmas as well!

Now for New Years.
I dont have a lot of New Years Resolutions but i do have a few..

#1 Get Marcus to sleep better at night. Letting him fall asleep on his own, and to let him fuss it out when he wakes up... Lord give me strength..

#2 Get financialy ready to buy a home and to hopefully buy one this year.. fingers crossed !

Home For The Holidays!

Last year all i wanted was to be home for the holidays and now i look back and i cant even believe that it has been a whole year! This time last year, i was saying good-bye to Gma Vicky ( who had come to visit), finding out that our bun in the oven was Marcus J, having christmas with my soldier in Hawaii! I just remember saying to Thayn " Next year we will be in Utah with all the Fam and our 8 month old son" , and now it is here. I have been into the christmas spirit since Thanksgiving! I dragged Thayn chrismas shopping before December even hit. I have the radio station programmed to christmas music. I have almost all presents wrapped and under the tree! I know that Marcus is only going to be 8 1/2 months old on christmas day but i am so excited to see him look at his toys. We got him some pretty cool stuff! Thayn and I both got our presents early.. He got some pretty sweet headlights for his Corrado and I got a GE X500 camera. I think we are both in LOVE with what we got. Even if it wasnt much of a surprise, little does he know i have a few more things for him. hehehe :)

Anyways,
Things are going really awesome! Thayn loves his job. I am so thankful for that. He works 12 hour shifts so one week he works wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday. The next week only thursday, friday and saturday. I think that working 12 hours is hard on anyone! But he likes it. I am still home with our boy, and i love doing that as well. I think school is what is next in my future and i have a few job options in mind. We are still, sorta, house shopping. I want to say we will be in one soon but, i really just dont know. We are trying to be smart about it and find the perfect one for us. For now living at grandmas is a blessing. I am so thankful that she is willing to let us stay here as long as we need to. I think that everyone is going to have a really hard time when we move out becuase they are so used to coming home to mister Marcus. And i cant say i blame them, he is pretty damn cute :)

Marcus just turned 8 months and seriously, i friggin cant believe it. He is so .. GIANT! I was looking at pics of him when i had just moved home to Utah and he was only like 4 months but he is nothing like he was then. Not in looks, personality, or anything. He is now 20 Lbs and about 27.5 Inches. He is starting to not be in any 6 months stuff only 9 mo and 12 mo.
He crawls like a mad man. He will pull himself up and walk along furniture. He will say caca on demand, and it is HILAROUS! He likes to look at himself in the mirror, he loves to play with his toys. He is starting to play by himself and it is so cute. He doesnt have any teeth yet. He pretty much likes all baby food now especially pears and sweet potatoes. He still breastfeeds. He can pick up food with his fingers and put it in his mouth. He likes to play in is play pen but he knows when i put him in his crib it is either nap time or bed time and he doesnt like that, little stinker.
He has been doing this new thing where he scrunches his nose and opens his mouth real wide and growls or trys too, its sooo funny. He also has been making it super difficult to change his bum. He is such a boy. He likes the playstation paddle A LOT, its prob his favorite toy. He loves to go out and about. He says 'mama' very disctnct when he is crying and he is constaltly saying gaga, or dadda. He likes bath time but once that water starts to turn even a little bit chilly he wants out! He is a very busy baby, i swear people think that i am beating him because he always has a bruise on his head. He is just always into something.. and i love every second of it. It never is a dull day with that boy. Im pretty sure everyone who meets him just falls in love with him. He has such a sweet personality. I love you Mar.

We got our chrismas cards all ready to pick up on Friday. I need some peoples addresses though.. so if you read this, will you comment with your address , thanks :)

Well, i know i have lots to say but duty calls. Chances are i wont be blogging till after xmas, soooo. Merry Christmas Everyone.

Love,
Thayn, Mal and Marcus J

Update overload

Last time i blogged it was about Marcus turning 4 months.. well in just a couple weeks he is going to be 6 months! So much has gone on since i last blogged. First off, Thayn got a job! Yayyy. We are so thankful for Alex for helping Thayn get on at Primary Childrens Medical Center. He a plant mechanice and so far he loves it! I am so happy for him and so thankful he found something he loves. We are still living at my grammys and we probably will for a while... we just wanna save up a litte more and find the perfect place for us. Its fun having us all together though. I enjoy it. We got all of our household goods a couple weeks ago and it was so nice! I was so looking forward to having the crib. It has been so hard not having it! Marcus loves his crib too! Our Mazda got to Richfield, CA last weekend so i think Thayn will go next weekend to get it. I was going to go with him but i think that i would have a hard time leaving Marcus. But Thayn and Alex will have a fun little trip!
We are also looking for a new car. Thayn has a 1990 volkswagon corrado and it is just not in the shape we want for him to be commuting to and from salt lake every day. So we are looking for somthing good on gas and reliable for him. Wish us luck!
We got new phones that we are in love with! We havent had nice phones in so long. Its nice.

Marcus scoots backwards now. He gets into the crawling position but just doenst quite get what to do yet. I dont think it will be long though until he is crawling around everywhere. He loves to scoot though. He makes sure im watching him as he taked off backwards. He is such a hoot. He loves his jumper and his johnny jump up. He is definitely teething now. He loves to lounge in his swing and watch the tv. He is facsintated with violet, the cat, she doesnt let him get to close though. His sleeping pattern hasnt changed much. still wakes up to nurse once or twice. He is eating baby food. So far he has had squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, bananas, pears, peaches, apples, and of course some baby rice cereal. He loves them all so much. Its hilarious when he eats! He looks like he is chewing it and then says "mmmm" after every bite. Its too cute! He sits up pretty good... and i know it will just keep getting better. He is still blonde and blue eyed :) He giggles and smiles non stop. He thinks my sister in laws dogs are the funniest thing in the world. He is in 6 month clothing and has been for the past month. He likes car rides and to be out and about. I forgot to mentioned that he likes french fries.. i know, im bad. He will take a binky, but they just arent his favorite things. I think Marcus weighs about 16.5 lbs but i guess we will see at his next appointment.

I am so so excited for our new medical insurance to kick in so i can take Marcus to a new doctor. I am not complaining about our free insurance, im just excited to get him a pediatrician! Our new insurance starts on the 1st of November! Im so glad we have caitlin to show us all the insurance business.. we are so out of the loop. So thanks bunches cait for helping us!

We just recently got our family pics done and they are ADORABLE! I cant wait to post them online.. which i promise to do.

I will apolize once again, i am sorry, i am a terrible blogger.. but thanks to those who read!

Till next time!

4 Months, already??

My mister Marcus is now 4 months old! It seriously goes so quickly and i know everyone says that but it is so true! It has been so hectic trying to get Marcus into the doctor for his 4 month well baby check up. Since i am not on base anymore and i live more then 50 miles from the next base i thought that i was just going to have Tricare standard. Where i can go to any doc. that accepts that insurance, but i pay a co-pay and also whatever our insurance doesn't cover. I was super bummed about this because, although we are not on base Thayn is still in the military till October so i think it is only fair that we get to keep our Tricare prime, which is where we don't have to pay a dime. I spent a few days on the phone with a lady who works at Hill Air Force Base and she helped so much and we got all our insurance crap figured out and we do get to keep our Tricare prime. We got assigned to a doctor in Grantsville. I was so thankful for that because i don't have transportation right now and i wanted someone really close so that if i need a ride it won't be a hassle.. and there weren't any doctors in Tooele that were able to take on Tricare prime. So after that is all said and done, i got Marcus into the doctors. He weighed 14 pounds and 14 ounces and was 25.5 inches long. He is perfect in every way! He got his shots that day and barely even cried. He was so tough!! The next day he ran a little bit of a fever but i just kept him on tylenol so that helped. He has been eating rice cereal for the past few weeks and he eats it so well. He sits in his little bumbo and waits patently for his food. I still am breastfeeding, i plan too till he is atleast a year. I still give him some formula. He is at 5 ounces. He is almost rolling over from back to front. He is so so close he just can't get the one leg to cooperate and turn, its so cute. He wants to stand on my lap all the time! I can never get him to just sit. Everyone thinks he will be an early walker. He loves tummy time. He loves to play with his toys and to put them all in his mouth. He thinks my phone is fascinating. He is starting to not really care for binkies. He LOVES being outside. He has been going through a different sleep schedule but its not bad at all. He wears 3-6 months and most 3 months clothes are getting snug. He smiles and laughs a ton. Bathtime is still one of the many favs. He is getting too big for his bath tub.. He sucks his thumb. He now grabs my food when im eating. He is in size 2 diapers. He has found his feet and they are his best friends. He loves to be in the car. There is just so much that i could go on about.. but my little munchkin is now awake so i will have to update later, adios!

Slacker

Well... I never got around to doing my 30 day challenge thing. I kinda figured i wouldn't I am a terrible blogger.. But I have been pretty busy too. So i think i will just blame my busyness on it. :)

I have been in Utah for 2 weeks now and it seems like it has been non-stop. I have been taking care of mister man and trying to figure our car insurance stuff out and our health insurance stuff too, and of course visiting with as many people as i can! It has been crazy but a good kind of crazy. I missed home so much and i am so glad to be here. Marcus has adjusted so well. The first week was rough. He was having a hard time sleeping at night and not taking good naps during the day but now we are pretty much back to our normal routine. Now we are just waiting patiently to have Thayn here. I dont think time could go any slower .

All of our house hold goods are now on the way to Utah! That makes things feel so much more real. T will be closing out housing on the 10th. One more step closer to him being here with us! We thought that we had everything figured out with bringing our cat Maggie home with us. We got all her shots taken care of. Called the airlines to see if she could fly home when Thayn does and even gotten her a little kitty carrier.. but when we found out Thayn had to send her earlier and that it would cost almost 300.00 dollars we knew that we couldnt afford that on top of getting her de-clawed when she got to Utah. We are so sad about it, we love her so much! But we just cant afford it. . anyways, something not so sad! I took Marcus swimming for the first time. I went with Cait, Alex, Cyrus, Sierra, and Maddy. We had so much fun! Marcus loved the water so much. I didnt get a really good picture of him in the water but he was kicking his legs and just enjoyed every minute if it.

We have had such a great couple weeks. I am happy to be home. :)
